Kristian Høgenhaug narrowly misses out on the victory in his season opener at Challenge Gran Canaria

Kristian Høgenhaug took home 2nd place in his season debut at Challenge Gran Canaria. The BMC athlete had an excellent swim, took over the lead in the second half of the bike only to be caught in the final 6k of the run. Kristian crossed the line in a time of 3:45:29, just 35 second shy of winner Iestyn Harrett (GBR; 3:44:54). Ugarte Ramos Mikel (ESP; 3:46:26) rounded out the podium.

Lucy Buckingham narrowly misses the podium to finish 5th at T100 Singapore, team mate Lucy Byram 7th

Lucy Buckingham and Lucy Byram claimed 5th and 7th place respectively in incredibly hot and humid conditions at T100 Singapore. After leading the race from the start of the swim until the final kilometers of the bike, Buckingham eventually crossed the finish line in 5th in a time of 3:52:10. Lucy Byram had a solid all-round performance and posted a 3:54:08 finishing time to claim 7th. Ashleigh Gentle (AUS; 3:44:23) came home victorious, accompanied on the podium by Lucy Charles-Barclay (GBR; 3:45:58) and Els Visser (NED; 3:51:38).

Lucy Byram puts together a gutsy performance to take 6th place in her season opener at T100 Miami

Lucy Byram has started her 2024 season with a strong 6th place finish at T100 Miami. Being in contention for much of the race and clocking the 3rd fastest bike split of the day, she crossed the finish line in a time of 3:33:22. India Lee (GBR; 3:27:12) took the victory in front of Lucy Charles-Barclay (GBR; 3:27:42) and Holly Lawrence (GBR; 3:30:36) to make it a British podium sweep.

Chris Leiferman secures his 2024 Kona qualification after a magnificent 2nd place finish at Ironman Cozumel

Chris Leiferman has secured himself an early Hawaii qualification after finishing IM Cozumel in 2nd place. Due to a cancelled swim, the race became a bike-run combo, where Chris crossed the line in a finishing time of 6:52:01. Leon Chevalier (FRA; 6:42:31) won the race with Robert Wilkowiecki (POL; 6:54:27) taking home the final podium spot.

Lucy Buckingham took 2nd place at Challenge Barcelona after racing in front all day long. The BMC athlete completed the 1.5k swim, 60k bike and 15k run in a time of 2:52:38. Imogen Simmonds (SUI; 2:49:44) came home victorious with Caroline Pohle (GER; 2:53:09) snatching the final podium spot.

Chris Leiferman sets new course record and takes fantastic victory at Ironman Coeur d'Alene

What a special week it turned out to be for Chris Leiferman. After welcoming his baby daughter to the world only on Wednesday, Chris set off to Coeur d'Alene for his first big goal of the season. The BMC Pro Triathlete produced a magnificent performance clocking the fastest bike and run split of the day to secure a well-deserved victory at Ironman Coeur d'Alene. With his win, Leiferman also secured his qualification for the Ironman World Championship in Nice in September later this year.

Lucy Buckingham dominated the race from start to finish at IM70.3 Warsaw to take her second victory of the season. The BMC athlete broke the tape in a finishing time of 4:04:34. Lucy posted the fastest swim and run split and 3rd fastest bike split of the day. Lottie Lucas (UAE; 4:09:10) came home in 2nd place as Justine Guerard (FRA; 4:12:45) rounded out the podium.
