Strong team performance by BMC-Etixx Pro Triathlon Team p/b Uplace: Bart Aernouts 8th, 3 athletes in top 15 at World Championship Ironman

With a stunning marathon Bart Aernouts (8:20:30) finished 8th at the World Championship Ironman in Kona. Also David McNamee (8:28:05) had a cracking running split to cross the finishline in 13th. A minute behind McNamee, Ronnie Schildknecht (8:29:11) took 15th place. A great team performance by the BMC-Etix p/b Uplace Team. Jan Frodeno (GER; 8:06:30) took his second victory in a row. Sebastien Kienle (GER; 8:10:02) and Patrick Lange (GER; 8:11:14) completed the German podium.

Will Clarke secures Hawaii qualification with a second place and sub 8 hours finish in KMD Ironman Copenhagen

BMC-Etixx p/b Uplace athlete Will Clarke finished second in Ironman Copenhagen today in a phenomenal time of 7:59:31. A performance that puts Will Clarke in the history books as the first ever British athlete to go sub 8 hours in an Ironman race. Swedish athlete Patrick Nilsson took the victory in an impressive 7:49:19 and Fabio Carvalho (BRA; 8:07:10) completed the pro men’s podium.

Ronnie Schildknecht wins Ironman Switzerland for an historical ninth time. David McNamee wins Challenge Poznan

What an amazing day it was for the BMC-Etixx Pro Triathlon Team powered by Uplace yesterday. Ronnie Schildknecht went on to win Ironman Switzerland for a record breaking 9th time. The Swiss athlete led a strong field in the Zurich to take an historical win in a time of 08:17:04. Timo Bracht (GER; 08:24:13) and Jan Van Berkel (SUI; 08:29:12) completed the pro men’s podium. Only a few hours later BMC-Etixx Team mate David McNamee took the victory in Challenge Poznan. For David it was the second win in a month's time after his dominating victory in Challenge Galway at the end of June. McNamee took the title in Poland in a winning time of 3:54:22. Chris Fisher finised 2nd and Ignasi Baldenow 3rd.

David McNamee wins Challenge Galway

BMC-Etixx p/b Uplace athlete David McNamee took the victory in Challenge Galway in Ireland today. After a great run and a very convincing performance he crossed the finish line in a time of 3:51:47. Joe Skipper (GBR; 3:55:11) finished in second as Dylan McNeice (NZL; 3:56:50) completed the podium.

Hard-fought 3rd place for David McNamee in Ironman Lanzarote

David McNamee of the BMC-Etixx Pro Triathlon Team p/b Uplace clinched the podium in Ironman Lanzarote. The Scottish athlete finished a very hot, windy and tough Ironman in 8:46:36. Jesse Thomas (USA; 8:42:33) won the race ahead of Jan Frodeno (GER; 8:44:38).

Hard-fought 2nd place for Will Clarke in Challenge Fuerteventura

Will Clarke clinched the 2nd place in Challenge Fuerteventura after a long battle. With a time of 3:59:35 he finished the race only 24 seconds behind winner Andi Boecherer (GER; 3:59:09). Timo Bracht (GER; 4:00:56) completed the podium.
